What Makes our Firewall so Effective?

Web Based Interface
The Redhat Firewall is managed from the web via a special port. After the program is installed you select a username and password to get into the software. The GUI makes managing your firewall seem less.

Block All By Default Option
You can set up your firewall to block all ports that are not in your firewall system. This really tightens security on your server! This stops hackers from attacking ports that you don't have specifically controlled.

Block SSH Brute force Attacks
IPTables Firewall uses the recent module to detect and block multiple connections to SSH on port 22. Simply check the box in the Web GUI and anyone that connects over 4 times will be blocked for 3 minutes.

Block FTP and POP3 Brute force Attacks
IPTables Firewall uses the recent module to detect and block multiple connections to FTP and POP3. Simply check the box inthe Web GUI and anyone that connects over 4 times will be blocked for 3 minutes.

Real Time Block Logging
With the Redhat Firewall, you can actually watch your firewall block packets! The real time logs provide information about where the packet came from, what time it was blocked, what port it came from, and what port its going to.

Access By Service
The Redhat Firewall works by "allowing" access to different services such as FTP, ssh, telnet, etc. Services can allow certain IP's, entire networks, or everyone. In addition you can allow no one to access certain services.

Super IP's
You can add IP's into the Redhat Firewall that won't be effected by any of the firewall rules. Super IP's are a great way to make sure you are never blocked from your own server.

Block IP's
This feature allows you to block certain IP's or network ranges, regardless of what port or service it is trying to access. This is great for blocking malicious people all together.

Turn Firewall On and Off on the Fly
Your firewall can be turned on and off from the GUI on the fly. No need to reboot your server, or do anything at all. Its as simple as the click of a button.

Port Probing
Let the firewall tell you what ports are being listened to on your server. Never have a service that is left out of your firewall again!

Stateful Packet Matching
Not only do we match our packets by destination ports, but we also use the packet's state to make firewalling decisions. Just one more way to provide a smarter firewall!
